Bhopal: Launching a scathing attack on the Madhya Pradesh Congress, state BJP chief Prabhat Jha alleged the party members of betraying people.

He pointed out that state Congress leaders had met the Union Ministers to make their request for probe in matters pertaining to the state. “They are acting with political vendetta and are betraying people by getting the Central funds for Madhya Pradesh delayed,” he added.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief Kantilal Bhuria and Leader of Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, Ajay Singh are in national Capital from last three days. Several MLAs have also escorted the party seniors to Delhi to attend Congress Coordination Committee meeting held in Delhi on Tuesday last.

Congress leaders on Tuesday also submitted a memorandum to Minister of State for Mines (Independent Charge) Shri Dinsha Patel demanding probe into alleged illegal mining in the state.

According to sources, the Congress leaders are busy in gathering details of Central fund provided under several centre based schemes in an order to expose the corrupt face of ruling BJP.

Meanwhile, Congress’s move has triggered a furore in the BJP government. Prabhat Jha said, “Congress leaders in New Delhi are playing with the sentiments of the people. They are trying to create pressure on the government so that they can put a hold on the state funds. Congress is trying to come into power at any cost hence, they are defaming BJP. But they will never succeed.”
