Bhopal: The Congress in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday accused the BJP leaders of "insulting" national heroes and icons.

In a statement in Bhopal, State Congress President Kantilal Bhuria said it was difficult to comprehend what the BJP leaders were up to these days.

Sometimes they "insult" Swami Vivekanand and the other time speak against Lord Ram, Bhuria said, referring to remarks made by BJP President Nitin Gadkari and the party leader Ram Jethmalani.

The Congress leader also attacked the RSS, questioning its role in the freedom struggle.
