Bhopal, Jan 19 (Agencies): Two farmers attempted suicide in Madhya Pradesh owing to debt and crop problems, where one was killed and the other is battling for life in the hospital.

Reports reaching here on Wednesday said that Dadhival Jaiswal, a resident of Ahirgaon in Rewa district committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling of his room on Tuesday.

His family members said that Dadhival Jaiswal was depressed as frost had damaged crops on his land and added that he had taken Rs 35000 as loan for sowing.

In Damoh district, Raju Ahirwar made a failed suicide attempt in village Mahuna under Patera tehsil by consuming pesticide. He is now undergoing treatment in the district hospital.
