Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government has come under fire after amending the Revenue Book of Circular (RBC). In a bid to provide relief for both humans and animals, the state government has announced per day relief assistance of Rs 30 for humans and Rs 32 for animals in the aftermath of a natural calamity.

According to new amendments, Rs 32 per day for big animals and Rs 16 per day for small animals will be provided for green fodder at cattle camps for maximum 15 days. Marginal farmers will now be given Rs 8,100 assistance per hectare for removing three inch thick sand or silt settled on his field which was Rs 7,500 earlier.

The relief amount given to farmers affected by natural calamities has been increased to Rs 30 from Rs 20 for 30 days.

Interestingly, the state government’s decision comes days after the Central government’s move considering those earning Rs 28 per day as not eligible to be in the category of the below poverty line.
