Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday condoled the death of Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.

"The country has lost a person with immense possibilities and a politician with a leadership quality," the Governor said in his condolence message.

Remembering Deshmukh as very "sensitive and amicable" person, Chouhan said that he did many developmental works in Maharashtra and in the country.

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh also condoled the death of Deshmukh describing him as "personal friend and a very able leader".

"Deshmukh was dedicated for the welfare of the people. His works as Maharashtra Chief Minister and as Union Minister will always be remembered," Digvijay said.

Opposition Leader Ajay Singh said the country has lost an able leader in Deshmukh.
