Bhopal: To ensure effective crime control, all police stations in Madhya Pradesh will be directly connected with the Crime and Criminal Tracking Networking and System (CCTNS) in the next six months, state DGP has said.
While linking Bhopal's TT Nagar police station with Indore's Palasia and MG Road police stations through this system last evening, DGP Nandan Dubey said all police stations in the state will be connected to each other through this system with the help of the central Home Ministry.
The DGP described it as an attempt to provide fast, easy and fair police services through the information and technology project in the broader interest of the people.
All the offices, starting from police station to headquarters, have to be computerised to ensure law and order and crime control effectively, he said, adding it would then be easy to register complaints and know the progress of the cases.
