Film: Mr Joe B. Carvalho

Directer: Samir Tewari

Cast: Arshad Warsi, Soha Ali Khan, Javed Jaffrey, Vijay Raaz, Babul Supriyo

Storyline: As soon as the movie kick-starts, Inspector Shantipriya Phadnis (Soha Ali Khan) arrives in a jeep and starts beating nearly 20 muscular men. Arshad Warsi plays the role of Joe B Carvalho who has recently solved complicated cases including finding people stealing cable connections and alike. He is now on a lookout for a young woman Nina Khurana (Karishma Kotak) who is supposed to have eloped with an ageing servant Ramlal. During the search, Joe accidently lands up in the hotel room of dangerous, ominous and mysterious master-of-disguise Kaatil Carlos (Jaaved Jaffrey). Joe gets stuck there and becomes a victim of mistaken identity then. Meanwhile, the mission of Carlos is to destroy the marriage of a woman, Gehna (Geeta Basra), who is a daughter of a liquor baron from Bengaluru.

Over all, the audiences get confused as the movie has a number of characters. In the film, Kunal Khemu and Babul Supriyo make special appearance. So, more than a comic movie, it is rather confusing.

Apart from playing role of a police inspector, Soha Ali Khan can also be seen as a cabaret dancer and a glamorous girl wearing a bikini. It is also confusing to understand the chemistry between Soha Ali Khan and Arshad Warsi in the film. Even as Arshad gave his best, he failed to create magic as a detective.
