New Delhi: CDMA services provider MTS India today launched an Android smartphone priced at Rs 8,999 along with a three-month unlimited internet access offer.
"MTS MTag 401 comes bundled with unlimited data plans and local MTS to MTS calls available in both prepaid and postpaid," MTS India Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Leonid Musatov said in a statement.

On the first-time recharge of Rs 8, customer will get unlimited mobile internet facility and local MTS to MTS call for three months, it said.

MTS MTag 401 is build on Qualcomm' Snapdragon S1 processor which has speed of 800 megahertz. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform which allows user to download multiple applications from Google.

The phone has MTS TV application which allows users to access Live TV with more than 100 channels on the move, the statement said.

MTS India, which has over 16 million customers, in planning to soon launch 7-inch Tablet PC based on Android 2.2 Froyo platform which will be also bundled with free data usage.
