New Delhi: Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Mukesh Ambani is the richest Indian with a personal fortune of USD 21 billion, for the fifth year in a row, according to Forbes magazine. However, his net worth has declined for the third consecutive year.

Notably Ambani outpaced steel giant Lakshmi Mittal and Wipro head Azim Premji to top the Forbes’ list Ambani-led Reliance Industries remains India’s most valuable company in terms of market cap.

Meanwhile, steel giant Lakshmi Mittal scored the No 2 spot with a personal fortune of USD 16 billion, down USD 3.2 billion since last year as shares of his ArcelorMittal, world’s largest steelmaker, went down due to rising costs and slumping demand in Europe.

Azim Premji founder of outsourcing company, Wipro, is ranked No 3 on the list with a net worth of USD 12.2 billion, lower by USD 800 million from a year ago.
