Gorakhpur: Taking a dig at Mayawati for poor law and order situation in Uttar pradesh, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav appealed to dislodge Mayawati-led government in the state. Targeting the BSP government, SP supremo promised that there would be stern action against unscrupulous elements and peace and prosperity would prevail in the state, if the party is voted to power.

Explaining his stand on the comment on rape victims, Mulayam said he had only spoken about justice to the rape victims and not providing government jobs to them.

Lashing out at the Mayawati government, Mulayam said, “The Mayawati government has done nothing for the people of the state. Only three works have been performed in Mayawati regime: rampant corruption, installing sculptures, and torturing of SP workers.”

He alleged that the BSP government has registered around one lakh false cases against the SP workers.

Alleging the Mayawati government for misappropriation of funds, Mulayam said, “The Centre released huge funds for the state but the government misused them. The sculptures that were installed had cost more than Rs 40,000 crore.

Accusing Chief Minister Mayawati of ignoring interests of farmers in the state, Mulayam said if his party is voted to power, agricultural loans of upto Rs 50,000 would be waived off.
