Mulayam used the word 'United'. But, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was missing from the press conference and his uncle Shivpal Yadav was sitting next to the party chief while he was interacting with media persons.

1. During the press meet, Mulayam Singh said, "I do not give importance to Ram Gopal Yadav". He further added, “We got majority in 2012 Assembly polls due to me and Akhilesh was made the CM. Now, its upto him to carry out responsibilities."

2. “Only two months are left for Assembly polls, why to think regarding this now? Let us attain majority then you will know about the CM candidate," Mulayam said answering a question whether he will take over the post of UP CM to resolve all the problems.

3. On being asked if Shivpal Yadav and other ministers sacked by Akhilesh Yadav would be reinstated, Mulayam Singh said he would leave this decision to the Chief Minister.

4. Mulayam Singh on Monday said that "all the sins of Amar Singh are forgiven" and on Tuesday he reiterated it once again when he refused to take any action against him and said, "Why do you drag him into everything?"

5. After the press meet, followers of Akhilesh Yadav were seen raising slogans. Police had to be deployed in large number outside the SP central office in view of the clashes between supporters of rival sides.

6. Mulayam Singh met CM Akhilesh and four expelled ministers including Shadab Fatima, Narad Rai, OP Singh and Shivpal Yadav at his residence on Tuesday Morning before the press briefing at the party office in Lucknow. These ministers were expelled by UP CM Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday.

8. After the party meeting on Monday evening, Akhilesh said that he will not quit CM’s post and does not want to launch a political party. Earlier on Sunday, in a dramatic tit-for-tat events in the ruling SP, Akhilesh Yadav had ousted his uncle Shivpal Yadav and three others from the government, while the party brass retaliated by sacking SP general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav for six years.

9. Shivpal Singh Yadav on Tuesday morning said "everything is fine" in the party, adding that he will obey the orders of party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. His remarks came a day after the a bitter scuffle broke out between him and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav at a party meeting which ended on a fiery note.
