Lucknow: Changing gear for the preparation of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav has set a target before the youth wing to ensure the victory of 250 party candidates in the coming polls.

Addressing a meeting of office bearers of the party youth wing and active workers, Mulayam urged the youths to expedite the preparation for poll as it is expected to be held in February 2012.

The youth power has always been the strength of the party and the SP would form next government in the state with their help, said the SP supremo.

He asked the party workers to spread the ideology of the SP across the society during Youth-Student Awareness programme beginning from August 1.

The party workers should disseminate the Bahujan Samaj Party government’s failures among people, said Mulayam.

Lashing out at the Centre and the state government, state SP chief and Kannauj MP Akhilesh Yadav said, “There has been huge corruption during the BSP regime and it has wasted nearly Rs 40,000 crore on installing statues and memorials in the state.”
