Lucknow: Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday said he would speak on the issue of presidential election only after UPA and NDA declared their nominees.

"Once UPA and NDA declared their nominees for the presidential election, I will speak on the issue", Yadav was quoted as telling party workers at the party headquarters in a party release.

 The SP chief, while reiterating SP's commitment towards reservation for Muslims, assured the party workers that it would be in keeping with the recommendations of the Rangnath Misra and Sachchar committee.

Stressing that development of Bundelkhand was the priority of the govenrment, he said special efforts would be made to remove the problem of water there and corruption would not be tolerated at any level.

The SP president told the workers that after the passage of the budget, works would gain momentum.

Reiterating that all the poll promises would be fulfilled by the government, he said it was also the responsibility of officials to remove people's problems and deal with them with more sensitivity or else action would be taken against them.

The SP president advised his workers not to get involved in transfers and appointments and asked them to work along with MPs, MLAs and party office bearers in providing relief to the common people.
