The Mumbai BJP unit also distributed insurance policies to around 350 mandals, participating in the festival to be celebrated on Wednesday.

"As many as 30,000 members of dahi handi teams have been given insurance policies with a cover of Rs 1.5 lakh per person," the BJP functionary said.

The person who reaches on the top of the human pyramid to break the decorated clay pot containing curds in it, also called the 'dahi handi' would wear a Modi mask, he said.

"To save the country, a strong leader like Modi is needed and therefore we have unleashed Modi's boys for the dahi handi, who will protect insecure women in Mumbai," party leader Ashish Shelar said.
