New Delhi: While the probe agencies are still groping in the dark for a major headway into the July 13 Mumbai blasts, Nepal informed the Union Home Ministry on Tuesday that they have arrested a man under charges of links with the serial blasts that maimed 24 people and over 100 other injured.

The Home Ministry confirmed that Nepal Police has arrested one person and it was being verified whether he has any links with the Mumbai blasts.

However, the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad has ruled out his involvement in the terror attacks.

The 40-year-old Mohamad Zahid, a resident of Sarlahi district of southern Nepal, was arrested on Monday from Baluwatar on the charges of being involved in the blasts.

Indian government officials are in touch with their Nepali counterparts for more information, a Home Ministry official said in Delhi.

According to a senior official, if the man turned out to be involved in the Mumbai blasts then the investing agencies will certainly look forward to question him.
