Osmanabad (Agencies): Senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde's advise about a tripartite alliance of Shiv Sena, BJP and MNS to pull down the ruling Congress-NCP should not be taken seriously as it was made in a lighter vein, said Shiv Sena executive chief Uddhav Thackeray.

Munde didn't talk seriously and thus the statement is not significant. I would speak on it later, Uddhav said on the sidelines of a function.

When asked to comment on Uddhav's statement, Munde reiterated his suggestion.

"To finish the Congress-NCP rule in the state, it is important that MNS be taken along. If this happens, our political power would definitely increase," he said.

"From the past 20 years we are in tie with Shiv Sena and it would move further. I never intended to mount any pressure on the Shiv Sena," he added.
