"The script isn't ready," says Kapoor, dismissing rumours of it having already been fleshed out. He says that he has not a discussion with producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra to start working on the script after Sanjay went to jail last year on charges of illegal arms possession in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. "So, I have not put the idea into script. I don't know when I will start or when the film is expected to roll," he adds.

Talks about Munna Bhai 3 have resurfaced as Dutt is currently out on a 30-day parole to be with his daughter, Iqra, who will undergo a nose surgery and was photographed with Chopra outside his house. As per reports, the actor will be a free bird by the end of this year and while it was speculated that this sequel could be Dutt's first film after he comes out of jail, the wait might just get longer.

"I have started working on the script of a sequel to my Jolly LLB (2013) instead. I should complete the script by the end of this year and take it on floors in 2016. Shooting will also take me a few months and I would be busy till it releases. I can't confirm if and when I will start writing the third film of the Munna Bhai series," Kapoor signs off. Hirani was not available for comment.
