Lucknow: As the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are nearing, trouble for the ministers of BSP government seems to be increasing. The government on Tuesday ordered a CB-CID probe into the murder charges allegedly levelled on the state Agriculture Minister Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan.

However, Narayan rebuffed all charges and said it was a political conspiracy against him. Narayan has been accused of murdering Sanjiv Sikarvar alias Netaji of Mathura.

Netaji’s father Shivkumar has accused Narayan and four others of murder. Additional DGP (law and order) Subesh Kumar Singh said that on October 27, Netaji’s body was found at the Bhuteshwar railway crossing.

Prior to his murder, Netaji in his letter informed the police that his life was in danger as he was running a campaign against illegal oil and liquor trading. Fumed over this move, Ajay Pratap and Yashveer Singh, hailing from Mathura, had beaten him up.

Based on Netaji’s letter, the police have initiated an inquiry against the two suspects.

The DGP said that Netaji’s father has accused Manoj Agrawal, Ajay Pratap, Yashveer Singh and Narayan of their alleged involvement in his son’s murder.

However, Narayan said that he has neither met Netaji nor his family and this is a political conspiracy against him.
