Gurgaon: Expressing concern over the lack of research in education sector, former Union Human Resource Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi said that new discoveries are needed so that according to the changing times syllabus should also be modified.

Joshi said that not only the education sector but also other sectors have failed to go ahead with experimentation.

Talking to media persons at the annual function of the Suncity World School here on Sunday, senior BJP leader said, “In the field of research, Indian participation is declining and in coming days, the participation from many other sectors would completely come to an end.”

Citing lack of surrender as the main reason, he said the day one would decide to surrender the nation would start developing.

Highlighting the literary activities, he said, “Earlier a writer used to be famous for his writing but nowadays writers are focusing more on being famous than their creations. Because of this mentality, creations have failed to correlate with common people.”

Throwing a light on present scenario of the education system, Joshi said “Our education system needs a thorough overhaul with adequate facilities for learning. The students of present generation should have knowledge on of rich culture and tradition.”
