Jammu: Senior National Conference leader Mustafa Kamal on Monday said his party will continue with its effort for the restoration of autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir.

For the development of Jammu and Kashmir, the party is focused on the restoration of autonomy to the state and making efforts to find a solution to the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan, he said in a party convention at Vijaypur, 35 kms from here.

He termed the the successive governments at the Centre responsible for the alienation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir from the Indian mainstream.

The Centre should make sincere efforts to provide autonomy to Jammu and Kashmir, Kamal, who is the uncle of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, said.

Secretary NC and MLA, Kamal claimed that the Centre should fulfil all the commitments made to people of the state.
