Patiala: Punjab Minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Monday said his wife is not yet ready to plunge into politics as she is busy with upbringing of their one-year-old son.

"It is all rumours that my wife is gearing herself to contest from Patiala Parliamentary seat against sitting MP Preneet Kaur," he told mediapersons here.

The SAD leader was responding to a question regarding the possibility of his wife Ganieve Kaur contesting against Preneet in the next Lok Sabha polls.

"As of now, my wife is not yet ready to enter politics as she is busy with upbringing of their one-year-old son," he said.

The Youth Akali Dal chief, however, added he and his family would never run away from any responsibility thrust upon them by the party.

On giving more representation to the Youth Akali Dal in the Parkash Singh Badal government, Majithia said he had told SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal to take up the issue with the Chief Minister.

The Revenue minister urged President Pranab Mukherjee to convene a special session of Lok Sabha and direct the UPA goverment to prove its majority on the floor of the House.
