At the conclusion of his 10-day mission to the Southeast Asian nation, UN Human Rights Envoy Tomas Ojea Quintana, also said that there were still critical challenges including the historical need of reconciliation with ethnic groups.

He, however, added more space was required to be opened up for those groups' voices to be heard. Quintana also reaffirmed the willingness to work constructively and cooperatively with Myanmar during the transition to improve the human rights situation of its people
