Laying the foundation stone of the Sacred Heart Church at Papu Nallah on Wednesday, which is expected to be one of the biggest Catholic Churches in the capital, Tuki lauded the Catholic community for showing the path of peace and communal harmony and expressed hope that the church will continue to guide the people, sources said.
    
Terming peace as a pre-requisite for development, Tuki reiterated his commitment to create job opportunities for one lakh youths in the current five-year plan and appealed Catholic organizations to help by engaging youths in self-employment.
    
He observed that various institutions run by the Catholic Church can equip unemployed youths with vocational trades.
    
While expressing his gratitude to the Church, Tuki expected that the next generation would learn a moral lesson from the institution and channelize their energy in purposeful activities to give a right direction to their lives, sources added.
