According to sources, an announcement in this regard is likely to be made at the end of three-day annual Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) at Bangalore, which will begin from March 8.

The BJP can see writing on the wall over Varanasi constituency as senior party leader Murali Manohar Joshi, who is MP from Varanasi, has reportedly expressed his unwillingness to vacate the seat for the Gujarat Chief minister and he has already started campaigning.

Some of the party leaders are inviting Modi to contest from prestigious Lucknow seat in Uttar Pradesh in the coming Lok Sabha elections, while the party high command is willing to field BJP president Rajnath Singh from there.

At least 1,400 selected representatives and office bearers of RSS from across the country are expected to participate in the three-day ABPS meet at Bangalore.

RSS leader Manamohan Vaidya said, “No political decision will be taken in the meeting. The conglomeration will be only for discussing and evaluating the RSS work.”

BJP President Rajnath Singh and BJP general secretary (Organization) Ramlal will also attend the meeting on March 8 and witness the possible decision of RSS regarding pitching Modi’s for LS election fight.
