Puducherry (Agencies): The Leader of the Opposition Sushma Swaraj has termed as Union Minister and local MP V Narayanasamy remarks as 'illogical and undemocratic' after he said that the central funds will be available to Puducherry only if Congress returned to power in the coming assembly polls.

"Ours is a pluralistic society and many states are ruled by parties other than Congress. If such an approach was made it would be illogical and undemocratic," she told reporters.

The senior BJP leader said the polls, due in May, will not be a token contest for BJP and it would register effective presence.
She claimed funds provided by the Centre for Puducherry's development were not used properly.
