Commissioner of Excise and Narcotics L. Hmunsanga said the contraband was seized from a house in Ramthar Veng locality where 42-year-old Lalrimawia, a resident of Haimual village in Myanmar, was arrested.
Hmunsanga said the seized contraband was worth around Rs 37.5 lakh in the local market.
The accused was booked under relevant Sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
Methamphetamine, also known as 'speed pill' or just 'Meth', is an extremely dangerous drug and easily addicted by even first-time users made from the infamous pseudo-ephedrine, a clinical drug legally manufactured in India and extensively smuggled to Myanmar via Mizoram and other north eastern states.
