Raipur: Showering praise upon Dr Raman Singh led Chhattisgarh government for carrying out development work in the state, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi who was here to take part in Rajyotsav celebrations referred to a Supreme Court directive in which the Apex Court had recently advised the Centre to take some lessons from efficient PDS (public distribution system) of the state.

Accusing the then Ajit Jogi led Congress government for state’s backwardness he said that Chhattisgarh government was handled by inefficient people after Congress came to power in the state in 2000.

He said that the people of Chhattisgarh, however, rose from their slumber after three long years of Congress misrule and voted back Dr Raman Singh led BJP government to power that has brought stability in the state.

Modi said that the change in governance has paved way for the development of the state.
During a short span of eight years Chhattisgarh has been able to leave its mark on the national map, he added.
