New Delhi: In order to give a taste of Gujarati cuisine to his guests, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday hosted a dinner party followed by a cultural programme for the visiting US House of Representatives and business delegation in the state capital.

Modi wanted the delegation to savor genuine ethnic Gujarati cuisine and culture. The visiting group was also visibly impressed by the warm hospitality and social values of Gujarat.

The 18-member US delegation lauded the economic development in the state under Narendra Modi's watch.

The delegation also visited the Akshardham temple, a popular Swaminarayan temple and took a ride in the Bus Rapid Transport System (BRTS). During their two day stay in Gujarat, the US delegation plans to visit Tata Nano manufacturing plant in Sanand, and Gujarat International Finance Tec-city (GIFT).  

The delegation will also meet the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj, senior BJP leader L K Advani and BJP President Rajnath Singh.
