New Delhi: Even as the BJP is uncertain about the visit of party’s firebrand leader and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the poll bound states, Shiromani Aklai Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal is confident of his campaigning for Punjab assembly elections.

If the sources are to be believed, it is decided that Modi, who is known for spelling magic by his oratorial skill, will chip in as a star campaigner in Punjab. Notably, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal had marked his presence during the Sadbhavana fast organized by Modi in Gujarat. Badal with his emotional speech impressed the masses present at the event.

The Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Sukhbir Singh Badal, said, “There are many in Punjab who will appreciate the presence of fire brand political leader like Narendra Modi in the state. His participation in the campaign will boost the alliance between the SAD and the BJP.”

Sources say, Parkash Singh Badal has requested Modi to join the campaign in Punjab. Interestingly, as the possibilities of Modi’s arrival are high, the SAD has initiated its effort to encash the opportunity and consolidate its vote bank.

As the stage is set for Punjab and Uttarakhand assembly elections slated for January 30, the BJP has already announced the names of more than two dozens of star campaigners who will pump in their energy to swing the voters’ mood in the poll bound states. The party high command has also included Narendra Modi as star campaigner, but it is still unclear about his visits in five states.
