Mumbai: Newly appointed poll campaign committee chief of BJP and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will on Thursday unveil his agenda for the 2104 general elections in Mumbai.

Modi, who was elevated to the post a few weeks ago amid high drama, will also meet state BJP leaders in order to discuss the election strategy for 2014 polls. According to sources, he will give some tips to BJP leaders regarding the election campaign.

The Gujarat Chief Minister will also address a CII conclave at Hotel Taj Mahal and release a book, ‘Beyond A Billion Ballots’, written by Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, an RSS ideologue and director of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini.

Later, he will deliver a speech on ‘good governance through democracy’.

Keeping in mind the visit of Gujarat Chief Minister, the BJP workers of Maharashtra have made huge preparations and have left no stone unturned to accord a grand welcome to him. At several places, grand ‘toran dwar,’ imitating the victory towers of ancient and mediaeval monarchs have been erected. Apart from these, the city has been adorned with several hoardings, cut-outs and banners of Modi. It is expected that thousands of his supporters will accompany him from the Santacruz airport.

Meanwhile, BJP chief Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said that the party would issue a 'vision document' highlighting its policies and programmes before the Lok Sabha elections.
