New Delhi: Former Odisha Chief Minister and Congress MP from Sundargrh, Hemananda Biswal had a narrow escape from the jaws of death when his driver lost control over the car on Saturday. Biswal was rushed to the hospital.

The accident occurred when his driver lost control over the car on the state highway in Sundargarh. Biswal received injuries on his head and chest. He was undergoing treatment in the ICU at the Ispat General Hospital.

Pramod Pradhan, ex-Chairman, Odisha State Cooperative and Handicraft Corporation said that Biswal’s condition is stable and he is out of danger.

Hundreds of Biswal’s supporters met the prominent tribal leader at the hospital. Social activist and youth leader Rajkumar Yadav wished for Bishwal’s early recovery.
