New Delhi: A new national body for all professional sports journalists named Sports Media India was launched on Thursday with media personnel from top organizations joining the executive board.

Sports Media India, comprising of print, TV, radio and internet journalists has been founded with the aim of fostering co-operation and solidarity among sports journalists of various media platforms and to promote sports journalism in the country.

The following is the entire Executive Board:

President: MR Mishra (PTI)

First Vice-President: Bobilli Vijay Kumar (TOI)

Vice-Presidents: Sukhwant Basra (HT); Gaurav Kalra, (CNN-IBN); R. Santosh Kumar (ETV); Vinayak Dalvi (Divya Marathi); Vikrant Gupta (Aaj Tak);  Nikhil Naz (NDTV 24x7)
