Srinagar: Tightening the noose around party members likely to pose a problem in the future, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah allegedly gave a free hand to the State Vigilance Organization (SVO) to expedite the probe into the corruption charges against them.

The SVO has been directed to initiate probe into alleged corruption charges against several Cabinet ministers.

Recently, a team of the SVO had visited Dubai in connection with complain against a senior Minister who has allegedly purchased a bungalow at Palm Oakland.

Senior National Conference leader Dr Mustafa Kamal has been removed from the key party post.

Sources said both the CM and the Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah fear that several rebellious leaders may join hands with Kamal. It may lead to the possible defection in the NC.
