The selection is open to all the boxers born in 1999 and 2000 in all 13 weight categories of junior class, said a communication to the Indian boxing fraternity sent by ad-hoc panel's chairman Kishen Narsi.

Thirteen boxers each would be selected from the trials to be conducted at the SAI centres in Guwahati, Mumbai and Bengaluru as well as the SAI National Boxing Academy at Rohtak, said Narsi.

The shortlisted boxers will undergo full training at the preparatory camp at the National Boxing Academy in Rohtak from July 25 to September 3.

In between, the final squad for the September 4-12 World Juniors will be picked on August 5 to communicate it to the world juniors organising authorities before August 7.

The trials would be conducted at Guwahati by Capt Jaslal Pradhan and Lt N G Dingko Singh along with Jaswant Singh (Junior camp coach) or Ibomacha Singh (Dronacharya Awardee).

Capt Gopal Dewang (Chairman, selection commission) and Manoj Pingale (Joint secretary, selection commission ) along with V K Sharma (Junior camp coach ) would select the boxers in Mumbai.

Capt Padam Bahadur Mall (vice chairman, selection commission) and Rajkumar Sangwan (selection commission member), along with M S Dhaka (Head coach of India junior team) would select the boxers at Rohtak.

Capt S Jairam and Capt Mukund Killekar (selection commission members), along with Capt M Venu (Dronacharya Awardee) or Capt G Manoharan (Draonacharya Awardee and head coach of India youth team) would select the boxers after the trials at Bengaluru.
