Patna: The 34th Senior National Throwball Championship would begin here on December 27, S B Prasad, President of the Bihar Throwball Association said on Friday.

About 800 players from different states and Union Territories men's and women's teams would take part in the four-day long championship.

The championship would be held in accordance with the guidelines of Throwball Federation of India and matches will be played on league-cum-knockout basis, he said.

Last year winners and runners Delhi, Tamil Nadu and Chattishgarh and host team get direct entry into the quarterfinals stage, he added.
