Kochi: Job portal Naukri.com will continue to focus on web business and the Indian market, a top company official has said.
"There are a lot of opportunities in the web business. We are in 4-5 businesses -- real estate, Jeevan Sathi.com and Shiksha.com. Right now, we want to consolidate not launch new products," the company's Founder and Vice-Chairman Sanjeev Bikchandani told reporters on the sidelines of an All India Management Association (AIMA) function here.
Most of the group's business is in India and the company would continue to target Indian market, he said.
Sanjeev, who left a comfortable job marketing Horlicks in 1990, set up two companies -- Ind market and Infoedge and launched Naukri.com in 1997.
The company expects a growth of 20-25 percent in its turnover in the 2011-12 fiscal. The previous year's turnover was Rs 330 crore, he said.
Naukri.com has a market share of 60 percent of the web business with its competitors being Monster and Times Job.com.
"We were early and we made a fairly good use of it," he said.
While Naukri.com accounts for 75 percent of the group's total revenue, the real estate portal's share is around 10 percent.
About 2.5 crore resumes are presently registered with Naukri.com and close to 100,000 updates and 12,000 new resumes are received every day. About 10-15 lakh persons are getting jobs through the portal every year, he said.
The growth of the job portal depends on how the economy grows.
