Jagdalpur: Days after Naxal attack on Congress convoy in Darbha valley of Sukma in Chhattisgarh, which claimed twenty-eight lives, the National Investigating Agency (NIA) on Monday summoned over two dozen Congress leaders in Jagdalpur for interrogation.

According to sources, the NIA is investigating into the incident considering a theory of political conspiracy. Given this theory, the agency is trying to get accurate information regarding whereabouts of Congress leaders on the fateful day. Along with party leaders, several villagers have also been summoned by the NIA.

Furthering investigation into the incident, the NIA on Monday recorded statements of several Congress leaders of Sukam and Darbha at its makeshift office at circuit house in Jagdalpur.

The NIA put several questions to these leaders like, their positions in the convoy, how longer the Naxals fired at the convoy, who were accompanying the convoy and who others were not present at the site of the incident.

After this, the agency is also collecting information from eyewitnesses and asked them questions related to the incident.
