Gondia(Maha)(Agencies): Naxalites torched a road roller near a village in this District in Eastern Maharashtra, police said on Monday.
The incident took place on February 5 near the remote Piperkhari village of Naxal-affected Deori tehsil, They said.
The Maoists who numbered 30 to 40, came at the site of under-construction Piperkhari–Gauritola Road late in the evening.

They broke the fuel tank of the road roller and set it on fire after pouring diesel on it, police said.

They later escaped into the nearby forest.
