Jaipur: The use of word ‘sexy’ by the newly appointed National Commission of Women (NCW) chief Mamta Sharma during a seminar can invite fresh troubles for the Congress during the election season as the rival BJP is eyeing at taking political advantage of the situation.

While addressing a seminar on the lines of women empowerment oraganised by Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal here on Saturday, the NCW chief said that women must not feel bad if anyone calls them sexy and asked to treat such incidences positively.

Demanding immediate resignation of the NCW chief, state BJP vice-president Suman Sharma slammed use of such language by the head of a national organisation meant for uplifting women.

“NCW chief must step down as use of such words is like defaming the dignity of a prestigious organisation,” the BJP leader said.

Echoing the similar views, BJP MLA Mohan Lal Gupta said, “This is really unfortunate that a woman holding a prestigious position speak such offensive language.”
