A source from the unit says, “Action director Eijaz Javed was coordinating the stunts and the set was tense. Neil was supposed to fire a gunshot and as he began firing the bullet, he didn’t realize that the gunpowder flew back onto his face. While they continued with the retakes, the actor suddenly felt some burning sensation in his face.”

Apparently, the gun got nasty and it had thrown back some gunpowder on the actor’s face. His eyes eventually turned red. “Everyone rushed to him and ice pack was applied to soothe it. Producer Aparna Hoshing even suggested that he take the day off,” said the source.

Talking about the incident, Neil says, “We have done huge shoots at Film City for over the past 15 days. Initially I didn’t pay attention but later the irritation unbearably increased. These minor hiccups are part and parcel of shoots. I’m hale, hearty and shooting again is what matters.”
