"I have never seen or heard of such kind of torture on woman," Lalitha Kumaramangalam told reporters in reply to a question.

"We have taken her statement. Such kind of torture should not be perpetrated on woman. Whatever may be the politics, the police and administration should refrain from such torture,"
she said.

Lalitha Kumaramangalam along with her NCW team on Saturday visited Parui village and spoke to the woman, who was tortured allegedly by police officials after they failed to nab her relative, who is a BJP worker on January 17.
