Sholay Media and Enntertainment along with POGO and Graphic India has announced they will bring animated reinvention of the classisc movie for the small screen. The name of the animated series will be 'Sholay Adventures'.

"The plans for Sholay moving forward in this space are immense. Our partnership with Graphic India and Turner has allowed us to reimagine the  origins and characters of Sholay in new and exciting ways for animation," Chairman of Sholay Media and Entertainment Sacha Sippy said.

The new animated script for the coming series has been written by Alok Sharma and the new look has been given by Graphic India’s SVP Creative, Jeevan J Kang. The first movie in the series will premiere on POGO on January 26.

Sharad Devarajan, Graphic’s co-founder and CEO while addressing the media said, “Sholay is beloved by millions of people across the country. We are thrilled to be working with Sholay Media and Entertainment and POGO to take these iconic characters into exciting new stories through animation for the first time."

'Sholay' was released in 1975 and became one of the all time supersucessful films. Originally, the three characters Jai, Veru and Gabbar were played by Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra and Amzad Khan respectively.
