New Delhi: Now, purchase decision for products will be easy for the customers. Before buying any product customers will be able to access the record of customer query resolution by the company in the past. Consumers can also get the track record of after sales service offered by the company. Soon, there will be a company evaluation system on the basis of quality of complain resolution by the company. Companies will be given a certificate based on the quality of services.

Process of evaluation and giving certificates is being prepared collectively by the Quality Council of India (QCI) and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The CII will work on framing parameters and implementation process for the companies whereas the QCI will be working towards designing system for issuing certificates. The CII constituted committee for deciding parameters will be having its first meeting on Tuesday. According to Director of National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB) Dr Anil Jauhri, in next three months this process will be implemented.

Dr Jauhri says that this process is going to benefit the customers. In case of any fault in the product, they will be having different complain options. In the current system, when denied for any resolution by the company, customers do not have any other option but to knock the doors of consumer forum. But after the implementation of new system, unsatisfied customers will be having options to register their complaints with the QCI. When companies are found guilty, the QCI will be empowered to cancel the company’s certificate. However, after the issuance of certificate to companies, the QCI will be having constant vigil on the complain resolution mechanism of the companies.    

The parameters for companies are being prepared on the guidelines of ISO-10002. Dr Jouhri told that the new system will infuse competition among the companies for better services which will ultimately benefit the customers in the end. Customers will get to know about the quality of service offered by the company.
