New Delhi: In what could be good tidings for connoisseurs of cuisines, New Delhi Railway Station is going to open air conditioning food court which will have a variety of eatables having regional waft. The passengers will  now get opportunity to pamper their taste buds with regional delicacies under one roof.

The food court is expected to be operational in December. The railway authorities are trying their best to provide all conveniences to passengers.

Sprawling in thousand square feet, the food court would charge the passengers an entry fee of Rs 20. The food court will have stalls of famous cooks and shops.

Radheshyam’s Chole Bhature, Chandni Chowk’s Khasta Kachori, South Indian Masala Dosa, Sambar Bada, Spicy and oil rich Punjabi food, fast foods and regional sweets will woo the passengers.

This apart, Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and Railways will have separate stalls in the food court.

Ashwini Lohani, Divisional Railway Manager of Delhi, said. “Tenders for the food court have already been issued and it is likely to be ready by December this year.”

The entry fee of Rs 20 charged from each passenger will be adjusted in the bill of the food court, as this provision will help check the entry of unwanted people in the food court.
