The app called 'STOPit' allows users to document harmful activity, anonymously report bullying of other students and reach out to a 24-hour helpline.

STOPit enables students to easily capture malicious behaviour with their smartphones and send it to adult contacts or officials with the touch of a button.

The application comes with four options: "Stop it, Help it, Report it and Friend it." The app allows users to document harmful activity, anonymously report bullying of other students and can connect users to a 24-hour national helpline by phone call or text.

According to the app's website, when reporting a text message with a smartphone, a message will be automatically sent to the bully.

"STOP! Harassing, intimidating or bullying me with your words, texts, pictures or posts. The appropriate officials have been notified and your message has been documented," the message reads.
