The newly launched smartphone - P2, sports a 4-inch display. It has slot for two SIM cards along with 3G connectivity and it has been priced at Rs 6,499.

The new smartphone has a 4-inch LCD display along with 480x800 pixel resolution. It is powered by a dual core Mediatek 6572 processor, which runs at 1.3 GHz on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 operating system with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The storage space can further be extended to 32 GB with the help of micro SD card.

The cellphone scores high when it comes to connectivity. It includes WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB and 3.5 mm jack. It also sports a 5 megapixel camera at the back and VGA camera on the front. A 1700 mAh battery keeps the smartphone going on.

Gionee P2 is likely to give other brands like Spice, Intex and Lava and it offers almost similar hardware specifications. It is the first Android-based smartphone to be loaded with the all-new Mediatek 6562 chipset.
