New Delhi: A refreshingly new-look Nissan Micra with better interiors and exteriors was launched by Japanese car giant Nissan Motor Company on Wednesday.

The facelift of the car has taken place from interior to exterior and the overall length has been increased by 45mm to 3825mm to provide more space. The company launched the new version at a base price of Rs. 4.8 lakh to Rs. 7.14 lakh, which is its ex-showroom price.

The interior is elegantly modified with new angular headlamps, a wider front grille with a V-shaped Chrome insert, new front bumper with chrome lining on the lower air-dam and triangular recesses at either ends to support the fog lamps.

Company claims that Micra CVT is the only transmission in the segment that is affordable, with fuel efficiency of 19.34 kmpl as per ARAI rated higher than manual and conventional automatic gearbox equipped cars.

Rear changes include the new LED tail lights and the lower portions of the hatch lid have also been restyled. The new alloy wheels will be available on higher end trims.

From inside, the car has been equipped with more bright-coloured beige fabric and a piano black panel on the centre. The styled air vents, doubled in stereo as well as the circular air conditioner controls, make the new Nissan Micra altogether a must for car lovers.

The engine of the newly launched Micra remains the same, offering 1.2 liter petrol and a 1.5 liter diesel engine. The car on petrol is equipped with new CVT gearbox, which will enable the car to deliver a power output of 77ps.

However, with the features on offer, the price tag of the car would be worth paying for. Later this fiscal year, Nissan will be launching the new compact SUV Terrano and the first compact hatchback from Datsun.
