    Railways may lease out 50 locos to Pakistan

    As part of efforts to strengthen Indo-Pak trade ties, Railways is mulling to provide 50 diesel locomotives on hiring basis to Pakistan. As per the plan, railways is likely to give at an approximate rate of Rs 1500 per hour per locomotive of 3000 HP to Pakistan for leasing purpose.

    CAG slams Railways for giving low priority to safety

    The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has slammed the Indian Railways for overshooting the budget year after year. The CAG in its audit of 2010-11 has said that the Indian Railways is the backbone of the socio-economic growth of India but it has giving low priority to the safety-related works.

    'Paa' child artist Taruni Sachdev cremated

    The last rites of child artist Taruni Sachdev, who died in a plane crash in Nepal, were performed here on Wednesday evening. Her body was brought to Mumbai from Kathmandu through cargo along with her mother's body at 3 PM.

    RBI to offer USD 2 billion swap arrangement to SAARC countries
