    INLD protests exploitation of shelter home inmates

    Haryana's main opposition party Indian National Lok Dal on Wednesday held a demonstration here to protest alleged sexual, mental and physical exploitation of inmates at a local shelter home and demanded a judicial probe into complaints in this regard.

    Six kids missing from Rohtak shelter home traced

    Haryana Police here have located  the six children who went 'missing' from a controversial shelter home in this town, 70 km from New Delhi, police officials said here on Wednesday. The six children were 'missing' from the list of inmates of the Apna Ghar shelter home being run by the Bharat Vikas Sangh, a non-government organisation (NGO).

    NGOs engaged in child care services must get registered: Minister

    Haryana’s Women and Child Development Minister Geeta Bhukkal on Tuesday said that it is mandatory for the organisations engaged in the welfare of needy and deprived children. The minister said that whether it be a government or a voluntary organisation, they must get registered under the Juvenile Justice Act, 2000 and the Orphanages and Other Charitable Homes Act, 1960.
