This movie is based on age-old vendetta theme. Hate Story revolves around Kaavya (Paoli Dam) and her transformation from a simple middle class journalist to a sex worker to seek revenge. Kaavya, who doesn't have anything to lose anymore, uses her sexuality as a lethal weapon to rip Siddharth (Gulshan Devaiah) apart by using everyone connected to him one way or another.

Tries to be a Bond-cum-Bourne kind of a secret agent, Saif plays a cool Indian intelligence officer. He is a very honest officer who is on a mission to unearth a global conspiracy. While he's after the killer of his friend Rajan (Ravi Kisen), Agent Vinod discovers the shocking plan of a terrorist group to kill millions with a nuclear suitcase bomb, which is kept under wraps. In the midst of his mission, he happens to meet undercover Pakistani ISI Agent Ruby (Kareena Kapoor), who is also, a doctor by profession. Agent Vinod and Ruby have a common goal, but whether their destiny meets an end or not that is the main crisp of a story.

If you go by the Bollywood formula, Sujoy Ghosh’s “Kahaani” doesn’t tick any of the boxes. It’s a thriller, a genre that Bollywood usually stays away from. It’s got a female lead, hardly any songs and no distractions in the form of a comedy or romance track.

Agneepath is a remake of a 1990 film of the same name and is directed by Johar's former assistant Karan Malhotra.
