Aurangzeb: Arjun Kapoor’s double duty makes a mark… but is that enough?

It has been just over a year since Arjun Kapoor made his acting debut in Bollywood with Yash Raj films’ Ishaqzaade in which he greatly impressed the movie goers and now he is working doubly hard to rewrite the success story of his first film again in Aurangzeb. The 27-year-old actor, son of famous film producer Boney Kapoor and nephew of filmstar Anil Kapoor, plays a double role in this crime thriller that talks about the land mafia and kingship overshadowing kinship.

Movie Review: Gippi an earnest attempt but fails to tickle your filmy taste buds

With movies like Stanley ka Dabba, Chillar Party and others, several movie makers have taken you to your childhood days earlier. This time it’s Karan Johar who helps you revisit your teenage years with his low budget movie Gippi. While this is Dharma Production's first film with debuting lady director Sonam Nair, it also marks the production house's foray at bringing a story without stars.

Movie Review: Go Goa Gone, exuberantly hilarious but one time watch

Building with the concept of Hollywood movies like Rise Of The Zombies, Go Goa Gone hit the theater across the country on Friday. Director Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have perfectly introduced the idea of zom-com movie with this film. Zing of desi humours makes it a must watch, though, for one time.

Enjoy ‘paisa wasool’ weekend with Shootout At Wadala

If you are planning to see ‘Shootout at Wadala’ assuming it to be a sequel of Shootout at Lokhandwala, then you may be mistaken. The film is completely new and has a different plot. The only common factor is the gangster inspired storyline.

Bombay Talkies: Amalgamation of fantastic four stories

A girl on a railway station who croons Lata Mangeshkar songs with aching luminosity, a stoic gluttonous ostrich, a flirty cocky gay entertainment journalist, a closet actor, a little boy who likes to dance like Katrina Kaif and a man from Allahabad who just wants to meet Amitabh Bachchan for a few seconds ... such are the engrossing characters that populate the unforgettable world of "Bombay Talkies".

Movie Review: ‘Iron Man 3’, worth watching for fantasy movie lovers

Iron Man 3 is the superhero's journey of finding the demons he created and destroying them. The first scene ushers in a New Year's party in Bern, Switzerland, heralding the new millennium where a businessman-cum-genius inventor-cum mechanic Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is partying hard.

Movie Review: ‘Aashiqui 2’ has nothing but romance and music

With expectations running high, Vishesh Production’s much-awaited film Aashiqui 2 hit cinema screens on Friday.  But let’s get clear that Aashiqui 2 is not a sequel of Aashiqui nor it is the remake of the 1990’s hit. It has a completely different storyline. But yes, Aashiqui 2 brings back memories of ‘A Star Is Born’, which was made thrice in Hollywood in 1937, 1954 and 1976. The film also reminds us about Amitabh-Jaya starrer Abhimaan.

'Nautanki Saala!' not an overwhelming comic outing

If it is any consolation, Rohan Sippy's latest presentation is far more cohesively constructed and sure of its raison d'etre than his last film "Dum Maro Dum", which bumped off its protagonist half-an-hour before 'The End'.

Movie Review: HIMMATWALA Senseless, Power-packed Masala Film

Sajid Khan’s much-hyped entertainer ‘HIMMATWALA’ starring Ajay Devgan and Tamanna is the remake of 80s’ Bollywood cult hit of the same name, but it fails to break any new ground. The film is a collection of 80’s Bollywood melodrama of a typical retro-styled – action, comedy and colourful songs in a new wrapping.
